The comfort zone is the worst place to live in.
No growth, no success.
My mantra is;
You will not become a bigger crab if you do not come out of your shell.
The sole reason you are not closing clients is that you are not putting in the effort to stand out.
That is why there are low open rates in emails and a lower response rate in outreach.
I have a simple trick to stand out when I want to connect with someone.
I engage with their most recent activity on social media.
It could be:
- Their post
- Their comment on another post
- Their participation in an event
If you do this, it will do three critical things:
✔️ It shows you’re genuinely interested
✔️ You’ve done your homework
✔️ You’re not just another sales pitch
During the early days of my digital marketing, I want to close a client ASAP.
I would act on any client getting advice I would find online.
90% of them didn’t work.
10% of them did work but the results were not as I had hoped.
Low-paying clients. Scope creep. Shitty campaigns.
So, I decided to let go of my fear and get clients on my terms.
So I thought why not create my frameworks?
That is when I came up with;
The Engagement Framework
Here’s how to transform your online presence from invisible to irresistible:
- Content Interaction: Regularly engage with your prospect’s posts before reaching out.
- Personalized Commenting: Tailor your comments to reflect a deep understanding of their content.
- Direct Messaging: Transition from public engagement to a private message, citing your interaction as a conversation starter.
This strategy turns cold outreach into warm conversations, opening doors to more receptive dialogues.
Try integrating this with my Notion CRM template for tracking interactions and follow-ups.
Client Onboarding Process
The best thing you can do for your business is;
Systemize your workflows.
This will help you:
- Become more efficient
- Save both time and money
- Easier to scale
Most service-based businesses have efficiency problems.
And if you are in a competitive niche like me, you need to stay ahead of your competition.
You can either do it through clever marketing or optimizing your ops.
I think you should do both.
One thing you can do today is declutter your client onboarding system.
A smooth onboarding process will make your and your client’s life a lot easier.
Here is a simple checklist to help you create a smooth onboarding process for your clients:
Preparation
[ ] Define onboarding steps.
[ ] Create a customizable checklist template in Notion for each new client.
Initial Consultation
[ ] Schedule the kickoff meeting.
[ ] Conduct the kickoff meeting, introducing team members and discussing expectations.
[ ] Send a welcome email summarizing the meeting and outlining the next steps.

[ ] Prepare and send the contract for electronic signing.
[ ] Create a client portal in Notion and share access with the client.
[ ] Provide a brief tutorial or instructions on using the client portal.

[ ] Review the completed needs assessment to tailor the project plan.
[ ] Share the project plan with the client for feedback.
Project Planning and Kickoff

The OKR Alignment Method
I love talking about my dreams.
If you are one of those people, who has seen me in real life, you know, I am a big dreamer.
Big dreams and aspirations lead to big breakthroughs.
That is why I talk a lot about OKR.
A simple framework to help you turn your dreams into reality.
Ever since Tom introduced me to OKR planning, I was hooked.
Since then, I executed dozens of OKRs for every quarter and year.
And the progress is insane.
At times, I have exceeded my original goals by 300%.
Which is impressive.
I have also published a Notion template and a guide on this.
You can grab them here if you don’t have access to it.
