For the past few days, my brain has been cluttered with tasks.
Ideas. To do. Strategies. Finance.
Frankly, I am in the firefighting mode again.
Why?
2 reasons.
- I did not follow the first rule of management
- I moved away from my hedgehog
Hiring is the first rule of management. To be a manager, you need a team. That team will manage several projects.
Now, I am in a business, which cannot run solely on processes, automations and systems.
I thought I could do this. I can’t.
To some extent, Yes. Entirely? No. Despite all the processes automation and systems. You need people to run a company.
I learnt this lesson after making several blunders and wasting months.
My second mistake was leaving my cash cow clients to build a media company.
I underestimated the time and money required to build an audience and a good publication.
Writing words for clients brought in good money. But I wanted more.
I want to make $19k in a week. And scaling a service agency to $19k/week is a big challenge. And it is not easy to scale this.
At the time, I thought that it was impossible to do this in 12 months.
My opinion was changed by Stephen Bavister. He is a senior marketing consultant with 30 years of experience.
A few sessions with him changed my perspective.
7 Figure Agency Maths
First 3 months - Secure 5 retainer clients at $1k/Week each.
Use testimonials and case studies to scale that to 20 clients in the next 9 months.
20 clients * $1k/week * 52 weeks = 1.04 million dollars.
This is easier said than done.
Anyhow, I am keen to make this work. So, I spent all night to work on a plan and here is the plan.
