Every Thursday, I publish the weekly issue of TNM.
You get an ebook.
This brings you closer to your goal of securing 3-5 clients from Upwork.
This week, I decided to do something different.
So, I circled back to our original weekly issue.
In the early days of TNM, the Weekly issue consisted of:
- 1 ebook
- 2-3 Notion templates
- Upcoming sneak peek
I got this sneak peek idea from HBO.
They would do these sneak peeks, which made me watch unnecessary movies.
Because they would hook me through those sneak peeks.
So, I decided to give you a sneak peek into:
- My Upcoming Magazine
- My Coaching Program
- My operations of $100k Upwork Agency
Sneak Peek: The Freelance Magazine
I have already shared why I am starting a magazine.
People think that I am crazy.
Which is true.
The amount of work required to roll the operations of my media company.
Starting a magazine in this day and age sounds stupid and weird.
But my power comes from copywriters like Ben Settle.
Who publishes a monthly Magazine and each issue costs $100.
Anyhow, so, I had so many ideas.
I wanted a place to vent out my marketing ideas. And Magazine seemed like the place to do it.
Here is what you should expect in every issue:
- Marketing crime series
- Marketing funnel breakdown series
- Marketing myths series
- Marketing commentary series
- Consumer psychology series
- AIDA framework series
Stay tuned for this.
Looking for potential partners to build distribution for this.
Sneak Peek: 1:1 Upwork Coaching
When I started publishing my newsletter, I decided to market myself as “The Newsletter Guy”
I wanted everyone to know that I publish a daily newsletter.
Now, I want to be known as “The Upwork Guy”
So, I decided to start a coaching program – The Upwork Guy.
The goal is to help freelancers close 5 clients with 50 Upwork proposals.
I charge £500 for this 9-week coaching program.
ROI: Add $5k monthly in 60 days.
Frankly, this isn’t for everyone. Not everyone can handle a workload of $5k.
So, I am very picky when it comes to choosing coaching students. Criteria of which can be found on my website. (under construction right now)
What do students get in my coaching program:
I have divided this into 9 weeks and 4 sections.
- Phase 1: Foundation Building
- Optimize your Upwork profile
- Identify a lucrative niche
- Set up a solid foundation for your freelance business
- Phase 2: Strategic Outreach
- Craft tailored proposals
- Apply to relevant job postings
- Start building your initial client base through effective communication and relationship building.
- Phase 3: Momentum and Refinement
- Focus on client retention
- Refine your proposals and workflows
- Boost your profile with completed projects and client testimonials.
- Phase 4: Sclaing and Networking
- Seek long-term contracts
- Actively network within the freelance community
- Continuously improve your skills and personal brand to scale your business.
You are welcome to take this roadmap and make mistakes, learn from those mistakes and then come back to me asking why didn’t it work.
I would say the answer lies here: https://tidycal.com/talhacopy/1-1-upwork-coaching
Sneak Peek: $100k Upwork Agency
I feel stupid for starting this.
It was a lot more work on my part than I had anticipated.
But I got greedy and wanted more.
This greed for more has caused the fall of empires. I feel that my constant desire for more will be the main reason for my fall. I must work on this.
Anyhow, the name of my agency is The Copy Studios.
I am providing copywriting and design services.
Here is the math that I am running.
1 million words billed at 0.15 pennies.
This will be £150k in revenue.
I have already secured a partnership for this. From where I will get weekly leads?
The plan is simple.
- Find 3 businesses that need 5k-7k words per week.
- Get them on a retainer.
- Deliver 20k words on a weekly basis.
This is easier said than done.
Let’s see how this goes. I will be updating Weekly Updates in my Sunday Growth Diaries.
Stay tuned for that.
Sometimes, I feel that my brain is numb while writing.
I keep on writing but have no effing clue what I am writing.
And if things are making sense or not.
That is when I came across this strategy called copy the copy.
Essentially, what you do is, copy the existing top-performing copy.
This helps you get into the zone of writing. Your writing neurons will be firing up and you will write better.
If you want to become a better copywriter or writer in general, copy the copy of others.
Write it by hand or type it out.
Whatever works for you.
Let me know how this goes for you.
See you tomorrow.
Adios,
Talha X
