I still remember hitting my first $1k from freelancing.
It felt so good.
I billed a client $1400.
I felt like a champion.
After that, I got another client for a retainer of $500.
Business was good. Things were finally going my way.
Until I lost that retainer.
Now, I needed clients again. And I had to start it again from scratch.
This was a painful process.
This up and down made me realize that most freelancers go through this.
Feast and famine.
Either you have lots of work or you have no work at all.
To grow, you need to have a constant flow of income.
As a freelancer, this is quite difficult.
So, I decided to build a strong sales system that I would no longer care if my client left.
I would continue to grow and have a constant flow of leads.
